Cap on Fri.
Tried my luck there on Friday- Sunrise to sunset. Reports from other anglers- it was slow going! Fisheromen joined me for first half of the day and a different friend the second half. Paul and I only got two the first half, one each, and I got four more the second half. All topwater but one bedfish ...

Re: May 9- Lake Miramar
And you still didn’t throw the hudd?! Oh Vinny Vinny Vinny
Touché
And to think @camobass, I bought a swimbait rod for myself at Christmas thinking I was going to really give it a go in 2023. They say some people never learn and I guess I am pretty much one of them. I will take some Hud's and a ...

Re: PARIS
Nice angling there Michael. I talked to you for a little while when we were leaving Barrett on Wednesday. We did fairly well and I posted a report. Hope you got into some topwater action at the Big B.

Wrong Again!
I said last week that it seemed the bite at Sutherland was stirring. That judgment was premature! The bite, it seems, is again cold as ice. At least it appears that way to me and a couple of friends who will remain nameless unless they choose to chime in. Between us we caught 4 fish. Overcast early ...

Re: San Veeeeee 5/14
Algae in the water is pretty noticeable year round but when the water heats up it blooms and creates a 1-3 foot deep blanket on the surface

5/19-You know where I went....
Yes, after a fun fishing outing on Tuesday with my buddy Joe, I just had to go back to Murray and check it out.
A pretty good start as I caught a bass on my third cast with a fluke. Pretty quickly after that I landed another bass on a fluke. Just a little less than 15 minutes later I was fan ...

"It is no more" because you had "better" things to do! Work around the house can always wait!

Re: Success at Sutherland
I saved a lot of gas and aggravation this year as I was almost there every Friday with my kayak enjoying some fun bass fishing in previous years. My last trip there was in the beginning of May and I threw everything and the kitchen sink that normally works and it resulted in only one bass. Nothing ...

Most fun and unusual baits for bass
Although I haven’t been fishing in over a month and probably won’t go for another month I thought I would put this out there. For me it has been fun to get them on the rat, the mudbug (crawdad) and the Black Cockatoo! What are some of your unusual baits?

Fuego!
Got to fish San V yesterday morning with SDFish member Oh Da Shiz off his boat.
San V is just en fuego right now. Mostly a finesse plastic bite but they were chomping. Find the shade, find the mud, find the fish. Definitely the best local bite going that isn’t on the downlow.

Re: Most fun and unusual baits for bass
So, way way back when I was still wet behind the ears and the Snagg Proof Frogs were not a thing, I used these fishing with my Grandfather;

The BFs "Craze"
Saw in iCast that many brands are releasing "BFS" gear. See a bunch of guys using 5 - 7 pound FC. I remember back in the day, guys super tuning old Abu Garcia Ambassadors, to use with light ine.
I dunno about you guys, but I grew up fishing LA city ponds, which equates to very pressured fish. When ...

8/7 Murray
Still did not see any topwater action......pretty strange as in the beginning of June it just started to go off and then pretty much died.
Drastic changes in the water levels definitely had some type of affect in the overall fishing as normally topwater action would be pretty
much wide open in the ...

Revenge is sweet...
My little local lake out here in Ramona has been very abusive this year! After 4 months of 1 to 3 fish days, I finally started putting together some patterns a couple weeks ago and today was my revenge day! The weather was perfect, overcast in the morning and a high of 82 by 1:00! Normally in August ...
