Great to see this site
Sdfish.com had a lot of great content and contributors but got toxic at the end. Good to see this site and hope it stays positive.

Re: Great to see this site
Haven’t been on the old site for quite some time. Then last week wanted to look something up and it as gone. Not sure what went down and honestly don’t care. I’m just glad to have a San Diego fish forum to see what’s hot in SDfishing

Awesome - SDFISH is back!!
Like most, had no luck with the site for a bit, and just by luck today, I searched SDFISH, and there it was!!
Having been on the previous forum for so many years here in San Diego, I've made the escape to Kentucky and am presently in escrow on a 25-acre ranch with 3 ...

Tip of the day
I thought I would start this, others should chime in for our collective expertise. I will add things often.
1st tip of the day: if you find knots in superlines (Nanofil, Gliss, extra smooth casting braid) slip prematurely using your regular knots, then there are several possible fixes:
1. Put the ...

I

Re: New Loveland Updates
I bet Sycuan would be open to allowing an electroshock/fish relocation back up the hill to where they originally came from
. Would be a good look for them to help out the lake/community by basically doing nothing but opening up a gate

Re: New Loveland Updates
Anything short of buying fish from the Texas share lunker program would be selling the community short. I bet they purchase 5-10k bass in the 1 year range with poor genetic potential to re populate the lake. Likely no forage plant so the fish end up looking like Miramar bass.

Re: New Loveland Updates
“The public is policing it, for now, activism 101. Should have never stopped, and should never stop again. The Forest Service wants the easement to stay open. It seems like there is a new Descanso Ranger, Kyle Smith. He might be temporary but we don't know yet. But the same awful Forest Service ...

Re: New Loveland Updates
The buckets of smaller fish that have been put into Loveland will spawn next year (if they aren't already getting busy). Their success depends on whether the water district screws around with the water level next spring and summer. "Genetics" aren't needed; with warm water, consistent water levels ...

Re: Hodges reopened
Hi fishing folks
I'm a SD fisherman
Sorry to see SDfish disappear
But happy to see this has arrived to take its place.
Anyone been out to Hodges yet?
It's reopened but is there a launch for private boats in the water?
Any reports?
Water quality, bait in the water, etc
TIA
It has re-opened ...

Re: New Loveland Updates
Issa seems to have too many national issues to deal with at this point, he seems to be on TV everyday discussing the border problems and the homeless. I think Loveland is way down his list! Jones seems to have more of a local interest!

Can you reel faster than a bass swims?
Bass hit my full speed topwater flukes with such precision, and speed, it always amazes me. Thus my wondering on their speed.
According to one post on a search, you'd be hard pressed to reel TOO FAST!
"LMB can swim about 12 mph with burst speed to 20 mph.
