Even better I had no cell coverage, so I didn't even know I was getting work emails.

Peaceful, but there are a few places that have coverage. I know because the last time I was there I locked the keys in my buddies $106,000 every option in the book Ram Truck. It had push button starting and I didn’t see any keys so I assumed t

Re: El Capitan report March 15
Looked apocalyptic down there in the evening! That wind was insane. Caught almost everything out deeper tonight. Either the shallow fish have already moved on and the next wave hasn’t moved up yet, or the weather change has them retreating. Bro caught his new PB - about 18” long and pretty girthy ...

We found her in like 25’ at the end of a rocky point! My bro landed her on his ultralight rig and a 6# leader to boot!Early release wrote: Sat Mar 16, 2024 7:12 am Nice Fish CorsoEnthusiast, we didn't have any takers that looked that good. Weather was strange in north county later in the day too. It poured at my place in Escondido.

Re: El Capitan report March 15
And yet I’ve seen Bass that were obviously hit by a propeller with one eye and a chunk of body missing. Ones with no lips, beak holes in their sides. The absolute worst is picking them up with a dry towel. They will be coated with Fungus in a week. They don’t survive that.

Re: Lake of D & K: Where did the water go?
I would like to know who uses the excuse "Southern California is in a drought and water needs to be conserved." Clearly that isn't the case anymore not because they are draining the lakes because the "dam is too old to hold." If it was such a real problem, they wouldn't continue to build sardine ...

Hodges Report 3-16
It was a slow start but ended up with 5 fish...not bad for my 1st outing of the year at Hodges...I threw a bunch of stuff early, first trip...lots of off season tackle purchases. But the first fish was on a texas rigged baby brush hog.

Re: El Capitan report March 15
Over the years I have caught bass that look like they went to battle.
I remember years ago every once in a while I would catch one that had obviously put on a stringer before being released.
No other explanation on that hole there....but nice to see that the bass survived and was not gun-shy to ...

Hodges report March 17
Made it out early to Hodges on Sunday morning, which was no small effort, since I was celebrating a friend's birthday the night before. Got on the water and it was 60.5 F and there was that really cool fog over the lake so you couldn't really see very far. It was a very nice day on the water. I got ...

Re: 3/18-Calm before the Storm
I was in that Storm at El Cap. Had a pattern going when it started to move in. We ran back to the dock and tied up and sat in the Truck as all hell broke loose. Hail,Rain, Wind, Lightning. It shook the Truck for about 1/2 hour and then was gone. Turned into a beautiful afternoon, unfortunately they ...

Re: Lake Murray 12.3 pound bass caught.
Sweet!
My last 7 or 8 bass I have caught there may have totaled 12 pounds....ha ha
I heard about it a few weeks back...but it is always nice to see a big one caught.
Probably got fattened up with all the trout they have been stocking.

Lower Colorado River 3/14-3/16 (video)
A little late on the report but still soon enough to be relevant for anyone heading that way in the next week or two. We got out to the Martinez Lake area midday on Thursday and arrived to 20-25mph winds and cool/cloudy conditions. After a week of nice weather prior to this we weren't exactly sure ...

Re: Lake Murray 12.3 pound bass caught.
Does anyone happen to know how busy it is at Murray both during the week and on weekends now that this beast was caught?
I stop by the lake all the time just to look around and talk to guys I know and other fishermen and no big crowds at all.
The busiest it gets is only the weekend which is ...

Re: Lake Murray 12.3 pound bass caught.
Andre is a good buddy of mine. Was stoked to see that fish caught off his boat. In the same spot my grandpa’s 1972 state record 17-14 was caught in too.
