backseated with a friend yesterday, Been a moment, the lake is WAAAAY up, loooks great. You won't get that workout launching. Water fairly clear, a little green. A few beds, not many. Water 60.5, trout recently planted, reaction baits 0, d/s working ok in 10=20, some at 30.

Re: Lake of D & K: Where did the water go?
I imagine the people who managed these reservoirs when they were built didn’t have the same worldview as the people who manage them now. The people running them now are more concerned with what kind of stick figure is on the bathroom doors at the reservoirs instead of how much water is in them ...

Great, now I have to convince my wife I need a BMF set up! Between you and Dannicus it’s pretty obvious that it works.

3/10-Ended up at Lake of D & K
Well I stayed up late(1a.m.) and with the clocks pushed ahead the next thing I knew it was morning. I didn't sleep well and woke
up a number of times and kept thinking about fishing even though I had not planned to fish today. After breakfast I quickly made a
decision to fish and started gathering ...

Re: 3/10-Ended up at Lake of D & K
I'll teach you the proper method of biting the heads off 4" robos..and then you can also catch massive amounts of small bass! That jig will scare 90% of the fish in D.K.now!
I just had to post this little bugger that almost choked on a 5 inch senko.......I pulled back to set the hook and did ...

Re: 3/8 El Cap
Wish I would have gone there today. I spent 10 hours at Hodges and ended up with only catching one grebe on a crank. Great job!
But did it fight good? The weight?
The fight was not that of a pelican but was ok. The guy did stab me multiple time in the hand with its beak. The thing is so ...

San V...must be Monday!
I've missed my San V Mondays! I got to the lake in the dark, who invited all these people? I'm thinking there's some pre-fishing going on for the tournament this weekend! The water is probably up 20' from my last trip here, now I know where my Sutherland water went! The first couple hours were a ...

Re: San V...must be Monday!
It has been so long since I've seen a "McFish Monday" report from you that I thought with old age creeping up,
you may have forgot that you like to fish on Mondays at San V. Glad to see you remembered to fish and post
a report from you and looks like you picked up where you left off. I think that I ...

Spring fishing at the fave
Been out at my favorite local body of water a lot lately as things have been pretty fun there. 3 trips over the past week and all of them produced fish, mostly of the 2lb+ variety but nothing bigger than 3 and change.
Pattern has been a little different every day. Saturday morning was all power ...

Hodges report March 13
Here's my version of what Hodges was like today.
Got to the ramp there around 0700, which feeeeels late, but really isn't. No wind at all and light cloud cover. Water temp was 61F. It was pretty well attended this morning too, there were a good number of folks for a weekday. Chuck and I headed to ...

Lake Dixon Today
With a little boat surgery, got 2 today.
Missed one pickup.
All on drop-shotted pumpkin Kreatures.
Got a chance to cruise the shoreline for the first time this year.
No well defined beds yet; but some smaller males are hanging around shallow developing beds.
Today's catch was all in about 20' of ...

El Capitan report March 15
Woke up early AM to sound of pitter patter on my roof and considered calling it a day, but John and I still headed out to El Cap for a nice day. It was freezing cold probably in the 40Fs, we layered several sweatshirts and whatever else and we were still pretty numb. Wind was not helping. Water temp ...

El Cap is a lot of fun when the Bass finally come up. Some Pigs in there, this is one lake where giants will grab your Dinks and make a meal of them.
