Made it out early to Hodges on Sunday morning, which was no small effort, since I was celebrating a friend's birthday the night before. Got on the water and it was 60.5 F and there was that really cool fog over the lake so you couldn't really see very far. It was a very nice day on the water. I got 7 total fish, all over 2 pounds and the big fish of the day was 4lbs 13ozs. The little BFS lure accounted for 5 of them and 1 to a standard crawfish crankbait and 1 to a jerkbait. I found a school of fish that must have been a blue whale or Nessie because of it's size and I cast through them with everything I could get to that depth and not one taker. It certainly couldn't have been a massive crappie school or carp. Basic numbers for everyone I talked to were about the same. I was off the water pretty early, but it was getting kind of windy at 1030.

I gotta get back to to Hodges again. Haven't fished it since the weekend after the opener. Awesome report! Thanks!
