Re: Lizard time
I can hear his popper from a mile away 😆
🤣🤣
Man it’s been too long since I’ve thrown a lizard. Plum color?
I like to throw more of a neutral color when they are this picky in the beginning of the season I was throwing red , plum and black and blue... now they don't hit those colors so ...

Catchy Saturday 9-14
Quick report and sorry it won’t help the guys today. Slow senko morning for us in Pine at previously good spots. But there was a pattern as we came across Dave Early Release and he was slaying them on jerkbaits. We flipped over to Hauser about 9:30 and worked the banks for schoolie sized biters all ...

Re: El Cap: Topwater and Jigs
Ditto on all the compliments! And by the way, the hookset on that opening intro topwater bite is textbook. We all want to pull the trigger on the splash but your patience until your rod bends is on point.

Re: El Cap: Topwater and Jigs
Also (not sure if you're interested or not, no worries either way) I posted in the trout section a couple of videos that I did in Montana in July. Some amazing trout and grayling fishing. If you're into that kind of thing.
About to head up to the Bishop Creek area to do some trouting at the end ...

Sunday 9-22…2024 Finale
Headed out right about 5:30 but the moon and cloudless sky made things pretty visible. Decided to stay in Hauser for the day and started in the coves on the north side to the right of the portapotty. Seemed like a good call as I got a first cast jerkbait fish followed by two more within 10 minutes ...

Re: Lake Hodges 9/22
Hey all I I headed out to Hodges yesterday for three hours in the morning. I got there at 5:30 AM and was the second car in line. The gates didn’t open till after 6 AM and I was on the water around 6:30 AM. The water was way down from the last time I had been out there, and was color of bad gravy ...

Agree on the background music. Sometimes you can feel the anticipation of a bite. Very well done from tip to toe.

Re: Tidelands Park, slow, very slow
It is odd how at times such a catchy body of water just shuts off. And it’s not like the fish went anywhere. Every day is a puzzle!

Sierra Report and Fish I.D.
Hit South Lake west of Bishop this week. An awesome time of year even if the bigger fish weren’t jumping in the boat. We didn’t do bad tho catching 19 rainbows on two days in a boat. We also tossed lures instead of bait as we weren’t planning to keep any to cook. Soaking or drifting dough baits or ...
