Re: Mmmmm, brownies!
Beautiful fish! I was in Montana earlier this year and heard that the browns with the fewer spots are Spanish Browns vs. the others being German Browns. I haven't done much research into it though. Thanks for the update and the gorgeous pics!

Re: Latest personal best
Congratulations on your new PB!!!
Dang that must of been exciting as heck catching that as that trout was huge!
Even without the video it is plain to see just how big that trout was. Again a great post with great

Re: 1st day on the water for 2025
That trout is AMAZING!!! Wow, for the first day
of the New Year, that is a great start. I have
never caught a trout that big and bet that
it was as exciting as heck landing it. Great
job and thanks for sharing your adventures.
3 trophy size fish in a month…..WOW!
Tight lines and Best Wishes Always!

Re: Chilly days of winter up on the prairie
So....I have been following the open water south, as I have no desire to go ice fishing. Most days are sub freezing, but fishing is doable, as long as a stiff breeze doesn't come up. I have been out on most of the weekends in January and February so far, along with my trusty fishing pardner and ...

Re: 1st day on the water for 2025
That’s an incredible way to kick off the new year. Even with a slow day, landing a 32-inch, 10.8-pound trophy is no small feat, what a beauty. Three trophies in a month and five in a year is an impressive streak. With your dedication and skill, I have no doubt that a 20+ pounder is on the horizon.

Re: Meanwhile, up north in trout land.....
Heck yeah!!!
I always love to see your posts. You are out there in all types of weather conditions and catching nice fish.
I held on to my coffee cup to stay warm just by looking at the gear you are in. It's crazy as I know
