I have hiked down to the river below the dam and fished. Last year in February. It was a beautiful day, but very slow for fish at that time. The people that I talked to that had been there since early in the morning had not had much luck. Maybe if I hired a guide in a drift boat, I would have done better. But I do have a "secret" lake that I get big browns and bows out of, especially in the fall time.Bendo wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 4:23 pm I haven’t seen you fishing the Green below the dam. It has been spectacular the couple times I did. I even had huge Browns assault small Rainbows in several deep pools. The basic drift from the dam to the first pick up spot was good for 85 Trout my last trip. Absolutely the best Trout fishing I’ve ever done. Size wise they were up to 5 pounds and in beautiful shape, thick and healthy.
Sadly, I had to move up here and retire from retirement (in other words: work for a living) in order to be able to afford to live this lavish outdoors lifestyle.vito1023 wrote: Tue May 27, 2025 5:56 am Your pictures keep getting better every post, congrats on finding the fish, lots of fun for you, please keep posting.
