Sweetwater action

Hit sweetwater at 8am started out throwing a senko and got hit by a slab crappie started throwing a trout pattern kastmaster and landed 2 more I had to leave cause it got to hot for me

You usually have some Bass follow up those Gills. Big Dark marks. They wait for you to throw them back in the water for an easy meal. I drop a Bluegill Swimbait, with a weighted head and a nice 4/0 EWG Hook in the tail and let it free fall. On the right days… deadly. Like a Yellowtail on a Mackerel ...

Lake Morena

Went back out - hiked the east side up to the creek - water is way up - banks are 100 yards form where they should be - anyway, saw a few carp - the bass were eager, so still no carp for me - Henshaw has been the best so far for me in amount of carp seen

Halibut

Really solid Halibut fishing in the bay the last couple of weeks from skiffs, kayak, and shore. Using sardines, smelt, and double rig with underspin and white gulp swimbaits.

Oooh damn I'm not one to question a mans fishing areas or style but why of all the days did you choose today to test out a new rig? I know the urge to fish but F the bay fishing, go to a lake first especially these next few days
