D.K.....and fair-weather friends

Post by Mcfish »

I would like to thank everyone that didn't show up to fish the D.K. yesterday...I guess everyone is allergic to a little drizzle and mist! I didn't have to share any of my favorite spots, it was mostly just me, the horses, and cows! A peaceful quiet day, except for the fish constantly sucking down my offerings! Last week I got on a good crankbait bite, with the shad spawn going off...today, no shad, no crankbait bite for me! I ended up throwing my crawbait for a few fish and then ended up throwing a 6" Texas rigged robo ...for a bunch of fish! Once again, rock piles were the key, if i felt rocks, I got fish! I fished from 6:00-1:30, bites were consistent the whole time. Mostly clone fish, lost a couple nice ones I couldn't keep out of the rocks...ended up tying on alot of new leaders! I ended the day with 27 fish...wouldn't of happened if the normal crowd was there! Remember, if there's a cloud in the sky...please stay home! The old saying: you should of been there yesterday ( Vinny and Fisheromen)!

Glad you had fun without either me of @Fisheromen there. It was nothing personal and if it was we would not tell you anyway. Looks like the bass were on the chew, especially when the right baits and areas are fished. I imagine you were at my new fishing area pulling in fish after fish without the distraction of us taking about all types of fishing adventures we have had...ha ha. Not too crowded is a good thing especially since most guys just seem to be fishing at every rock in the water, especially the shore fishermen. Anyway, good job out there and thanks for sharing. Be honest.....you know you missed us not being there to watch you pull in so many bass. :-)

Of course it had nothing to do with Mcfish being there. 🧐
