Nothing like a cool, crisp autumn evening, with the smell of plastisol in the air....
Made a little rack to hang fresh baits. Laying 'em out flat to cure takes too long...and if the tails are folded up, they can break. Hanging prevents that issue.
They're not really clear. Some silver mica flakes give some flash.
Made some red baits as well.
And some orange and orange-adjacent items.
The colored baits were mostly re-melted plastic. Some old lures, and a lot of leftover bits from previous baitmaking sessions. Sometimes the old stuff is hard to get the color right...and what looked like orange when it was molten ends up looking more like a dirty diaper color when it's cooled. Oh well, spotties will probably still eat 'em.
Next project will be pouring and powder-coating some new leadheads. Been fiddling with chatterbaits, as well as some lighter heads with EWG hooks (so they'll collect less grass).
Gettin' grubby widdit...and swimbaity....

Adding a swivel 12-24" above the bait as a grass catcher works pretty good.
