Back to where I belong....
I finally got back to San V on my favorite day! Along with Murray, San V is probably where I've spent most of my years fishing...starting back in the 60s. I got to the lake at sunrise, headed out looking for some busters and soon found some on the main lake behind the island. They were spread out and I knew it would be a challenge. I picked up 3 pretty quick, but the size wasn't what I was looking for, so I bailed on the busters and moved to the bank. I was hoping that wasn't a mistake and it soon paid off. I ended up getting 23 fish between 1 1/2 and 3lbs, throwing mostly senkos and dropshotting in 4'-12' of water. When the wind came up around noon, I moved to a couple rocky points and pulled out my jerkbait and picked up 14 size challenged fish that were crazy aggressive! I called it a day at 1:00..hot enough! It was nice to have an easy productive day after working so hard for fish at D.K. the last couple months! Even Murray was a struggle for me last week, only picking up 5! I didn't get any big fish, but it was a fun day all around!

Mcfish Mondays is back!
Great to see you back at the V catching bass at your favorite Monday lake. Sounds like you had a great time and plenty of bass kept you busy. Thanks for sharing your adventures and hope to see more McFish Monday reports. Tight lines always

You’re lucky because every time I tried to introduce myself to Mcfish he ignored me until I bought him a $50 tackle warehouse gift card, a case of Heineken and paid for his permits for three straight fishing trips. After that, he became more receptive.Dannicus wrote: Tue Jul 23, 2024 3:46 am If I haven't told you guys, I am sure happy I found this forum. It's been great meeting and fishing with you gents!
I call him a friend, but I’m not sure what exactly he thinks.

You're the best friend money can buy...by the way, my boat needs new batteries...and my truck is running low on gas! Best gas prices are the Ramco halfway to D.K......VinnyBass wrote: Tue Jul 23, 2024 11:38 amYou’re lucky because every time I tried to introduce myself to Mcfish he ignored me until I bought him a $50 tackle warehouse gift card, a case of Heineken and paid for his permits for three straight fishing trips.
