Hodges 7/10
I got to the lake early and it looked perfect for top water. Nice and overcast. By the time i set up my pontoon and launched the overcast had burned off so i started hitting the shore with an assortment of smaller cranks. I picked up some small dinks close to the shore on shad raps so i made a beeline to the area of the dam. Talked to Chris (pourboy) along the way and he was doing about the same as I. Where ever the rocks were spilling into the water in shallow is where i found bigger fish. I was using an old technique of throwing a spit shotting a 4" fluttercraft worm in morning dawn color and with the hack of dipping their tails in chartreuse dye. It got very hot quickly so i was off the water around 11:30. I managed 9 fish with most of them clone 1 lb fish. but it was fun as hell.

Re: Hodges 7/10
Thanks for the report. I think I will try the little cranks this Saturday, so it's nice to know there's hope.
