Hi peeps.
Here’s the deal. I am getting involved with is my organization’s Dad Corps.
https://www.saysandiego.org/view-by-pro ... ads-corps/
I offered to take some people fishing, and they picked the date (July 29th) and the location (Ferry Landing Pier in Coronado, because they won’t need a license). I told ‘em I could put together ten combos for them to use.
I just found out that 15 families have RSVP’d. Not sure how many people will actually want to fish. If they all show up, I don't want to have some kids waiting to take a turn to reel in their very own wad of eelgrass.
They’ll need gear suitable for getting snagged in eelgrass and hopefully reeling in a spotty or round ray. Spinning rods with 8 to 12 pound test...2500 to 4000 sized reels is what I’m going to be putting together, heavier gear than if they were going to Lake Murray or Chollas.
I’m only going to have ten combos. I’ll have all the terminal tackle and bait that we’ll need. (Squid Strips, gulp minnows, and some freezer-burned walmart shrimp from the back of my freezer.)
Now the ask…
Anybody got a handful of suitable spinning combos I can borrow...or know someone who might? I'll put fresh line on for this event. PM me if you can help.
I sent an email to a few people with the San Diego Anglers club, in case you were thinking about them.
Thanks,
Rob "CK" Hall

Sorry Carpkiller....I really don't have anything geared for saltwater. Good luck and hope someone out there has some stuff.
