Mission Bay 6/29

Caught 3 croaker and another fish. Don't know the name of it. Also saw sea turtle today in the bay

I've seen a sea turtle in the Big Bay, never in Mission Bay...cool!

Size 2 hook. Very hard to find. The bonefish were schooling right next to shore. They were chasing something. Wish I would have got down there earlier. I fish from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

yeah smaller ewg's are hard to find, and also hard to remove without pliers (at least for me) which is why i stopped using them. i found number 4 EWGs to use on perch grubs. it worked perfectly until i realized what a pain it was to get them out sometimes.

I always keep needle nose pliers on me. Always gets them in the lip, not that hard to take out . I would use players even if it was a bigger hook.

im never prepared haha. i never expect to catch something i cant unhook by hand. 3/0 for me. probably why i only catch spotties anymore.
