Cap 13th and 15th
Went Saturday morning early decided to try to get my first buzz toad fish if I could first cast a foot of shore checked my drag put it in gear and fish on thought I was stuck in muck at first then it jumped was good size came in rather easy weighed 5.8 my biggest at cap so far was stoked and at same time was first cast I thought I should just get in car and go home jokingly but man I only caught 3 dinks tight to shore on drop shot threw all kinds wakes square bill no takers seems like better fish completely backed off after first light so I went and caught bunch bluegill wth they tired me out so I split midday I went today Mon early strait to aerator ended up surrounded by 13-14 other fisherman looking to cash in at aerator fish were busting bait was present most morning everybody caught everybody is friendly so everyone is able to catch most r kids outta school on break on tubes bite turned off around 8-9 so my dad and I went slayed bluegill came back to aerator till 1 got about a half dozen or so more better fish 2-3lb we both ended w 15 bass or so and bunch bluegill they love them red worms

Nice Robert! Way to adapt and keep fishing for what'll bite. I see tasty fish tacos in your future.

Kastmaster 1/4oz was hot ticket for last while I still catch on it throwing at boils mostly I caught on 1/4oz hook up bait or strolling a fluke their not hitting bigger stuff from pressure or topwater but when they r boiling their aggressive chasing bait underspin chatterbait 1/4os dies trick too

Hey Dan Yeah cooked bluegill last night doesn’t even stink up the house fishy smelling like anything else I don’t care to eat fish my parents do I like catching em and catching em again my dad took a hit from heat though 3 day trip to hospital dehydrated has partial bowel blockage poor guy fish beat him up and sun was only there till 1 but temp was 90Dannicus wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 3:55 am Nice Robert! Yeah gotta hydrate in this hot east county sun ty yes he fully recovered damn sun is hot have to take him to cool bay
