El Capitan 1/16
Had a great time at El Capitan today. 9 fish in total. I threw my new Berkeley Triple Minnow rig for a while, and got no bites, but to be fair, I really need to put in some time learning to fish it. It does look good in the water.
All 9 fish came on a NED bait on a 1/8 oz jig. They liked it when I would cast it right onto the bank then plop it into the water. It was a beautiful day and not too much wind.

Re: El Capitan 1/16
This came just in time! Planning on fishing El Cap tomorrow. I’ll be tossing the ned rig, but I just picked up a new setup for my moving baits that I have yet to break in, so hopefully I’ll be able to get on one or two crankbait fish as well. Thanks for the intel, and tight lines!

Re: El Capitan 1/16
Of course brother I always try to share. I know Chris (@Pourboy ) has been having a lot of success with a Berkeley Magic Swimmer, and Jeremy (@CorsoEnthusiast ) has been killing them on Neko rigs.bfullerton17 wrote: Fri Jan 16, 2026 7:07 pm This came just in time! Nice job Dan…… looks like you had a lot
of fun out there. Lake is probably more quiet
without all the boats and most of the noise
now coming from splashing bass heading
towards your float tube. Thanks for sharing a tight lines.
