$2 fee
$2 fee
This might be in wrong place but. The city is raising the cost of launching a boat $2, wow. Why dont they raise the $2 fee per person on a boat. Most of the bass fishermen only fish 1-2 people per boat. The wake boats usually have 4-6 people per boat or more a lot more income would be made just thinking out loud

Re: $2 fee
I see what you're saying but then it becomes a thing where say you drop someone off and pick someone up or pick up another person then someone checks your permit and you have another person on the boat or people trying to game the system as they inevitably would. When I used to do water skiing in Boston, people would come and go throughout the day. I've also gone out early in the morning and picked up friends who wanted to fish the afternoon.

Agree, it is much easier to charge by the vessel than by the number of passengers. Similarly, parking is charged by the vehicle, toll roads charge by the vehicle, car registration is charged by the car and not by the number of passengers.

This was my 1st car... The trunk was large enough to get 3 large guys into the drive-in or Lions Drag Strip...

It's a shame we don't have drive ins anymore. There's a few left in MA but I don't know if there's any out here.

A little bit of carbon monoxide in the trunk from a leaky exhaust never hurt anyone, right? What doesn't kill you makes you stronger?
