That feeling of slimy grease

Talk about fishing one of the country's premier bass fisheries, Barrett Lake.

That feeling of slimy grease

Post by falafeluver »

Ok I just received a large package (weighing almost 15 lbs.) from the Tackle Warehouse sale items from the 15% off on most items to the $1-5 bin items.

It was a combined order with 4 other buddies.

Anyways, as I’m sorting out what everyone ordered, most of the bags and just about everything in the shipping box, there’s so much of that light oily and greasy film.

What do you guys use to remove the slippery film?

Weird, I have never gotten anything from them with a slimy film on it. Maybe there was some sort of accident and that is why the items are marked down?

Wash them like you would greasy dishes, either in hot water with dishwashing detergent or in the dishwasher. Simple Green (undiluted) is also good at removing grease, works great on bicycle chains.

Suggest you contact them to find out what happened to cause the slimy film and let us know.

Good idea on using Dawn type detergent!

Just to clarify myself, the bags looks like the ones from Yamamoto’s (ordered tons of them), the Keitech’s and Spro bags is where the greasy film was noticed.

I think maybe the Yama’s were slightly more of that slippery coating and rubbed all over to the other bags and other hard plastic packaging so everything was like in a tossed salad.

The box was packed ok with lots of the brown paper stuffer.
