Mission Beach 8/10

I had a small window to get some fishing in this morning so I headed to beach, even knowing the tide was going to be pretty far out early in the morning. Regardless, I outdid my tiny croaker from last weekend with the smallest perch I’ve caught to date, just minutes after my first cast

Always nice catching SOMETHING early on, knowing the skunk had been avoided. Had a heck of a time locating any crabs so was using Gulp camo worms. Got the tiny little guy pictured and one slightly larger perch not long afterward.

I was starting to see a few crabs as I was getting ready to leave so I took a scoop, hooked the only two I dug up, and caught a smaller corbina on my “last cast”, which was a fun way to end the morning.

A short session, but a fun one. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

We call those small Corbina - Cigars. Sometimes they swarm the beach.
