So I have this new unofficial daughter that lives with me(long story, dont ask) and she has never gone fishing. Need to fix that.
First trip was supposed to her and 1 of my godsons at TP. Turned into a bunch of people and a big hassle, and not much fishing. A few fish were caught anyway, but not by me or Khloe.
2nd trip was gulp off Oceanside pier. She got 3 bsp in a very short time very shallow. It was cool. She cast and set the hook and everything (We had practiced at home first) All the people pumped her up. Now she loves fishing.
Sidenote: no one else around us was catching anything.

Great job getting the kids started on fishing, could turn into more Fishtricks in the future could make it hard on the rest of us fishermen.

Way to go Khloe!!! Good for you getting those kids on fish... I've gone thru my kids and grand kids on fishing... Guess I'll have to wait for some great grand kids to keep up the fun.

Re: Khloe's 1st fish
Great job getting her off the Pier and onto the Sand. So much more enjoyable. The beds of Sand Crabs. Birds, curious people. A lot going on with a suburban Surf Fishing Trip. Many times we end up with kids digging Crabs for us, Parents and Joggers sticking around, ohs and ash’s when we land a little Leopard Shark. Big Birds visiting, Dolphins surfing the waves. Things most kids are never aware of. I show kids the basics and get endless pictures of their success for years. I love every picture. Any light Trout sized rig will work, all you need is a few hooks and weights. Super simple.
