May 18th. Shot Gun Hole.
Good day everyone. I am usually a read only user. I thought I would just do a post regarding one of the boats. We were on the water about 4:30 a.m. with three guys over 200 lb. We headed down Hauser arm and about halfway down we realize we had about 8 in of water in the boat. We stopped bailed it and to find out the boat had a shotgun hole through the seat and out the front of the bow about 8 in above the water line so when we started going the water was splashing up and going in the hole. Please look carefully at the boat you choose and make sure it's not the boat with the shotgun hole. Anyway we ended up fishing Hauser for a little bit with the plugged hole, we stuck a baggie in it. Then we headed down to Pine and ended up catching most of our fish down there our big fish was 4 lb 12 oz another one 4 lb 6 oz another one 4 lb 4 oz. We ended up right around 200 fish for us three total. The prime base were all dark color didn't matter what you threw as long as it sink flow and was thrown up right up against the trees or bushes. Good luck to everyone fishing it's a great place. If anyone can tell me how to add pictures I would love to know because when I went to load a picture it says error file. Thank you

Thanks for sharing. The Barrett boats are “unique” in their condition although I’ve never seen any shotgun holes! Can’t imagine that went too well for the offending duck hunter.

Dick Cheney must have been on that boat.

Thanks for the warning!
Did you happen to let a staff member know of “that boat”?
Do you have a photos of that boat, maybe of the motor or other pics of some kind of ID markings?

Yeah we left the staff know the guy that actually runs the boats he said he knew about the hole in the seat but he did not know that it went all the way through the bowels since the boats are brought in and the bowels are covered by the dock we did show him the boat so hopefully he can fix it if not all the motors look the same so there wasn't really an ID on the boat that could differentiate that both of others
