4/11-Further than Murray
Well I thought it would be a good morning to pay a visit to fellow SDFish bass fishermen @Mcfish and @Fisheromen on their home lake. Yes, I decided to venture off a lot further than my normal less than 2 mile drive to Murray, to the Lake of D & K. My first visit this year and was greeted by Mcfish in the parking lot and later caught up with Fisheromen out on the water. It takes a while for me to get settled in as most of you know while McFish was pulling in a number of bass not far from me. It is funny how for hours the day & night before I went over all types of tackle to take with me and yet left things that I did not think would work well, I left at home. After wasting time throwing an assortment of reaction baits, a couple snags and a few unbuttoned bass. I finally landed one and the morning immediately became a little better. I stayed mostly near McFish, as it was hard to venture off seeing him landing bass and fun watching his reaction to losing bass. He may mention one that got away that I witnessed and it was pretty big. It was fun chatting and seeing them both really enjoying fishing on their home lake. Anyway, I made do with plastic worms and a few creatures I brought and after starting off pretty slow was able to land 12 bass. Mostly clones, but it was a fun morning and smooth 38.5 mile drive home.
Most of the fish were like this...

Vinny easily holds the World's record for the most different lures used in a day of fishing...doesn't matter if he's on fish or not....he figures out how to get them to bite! Can't argue with that! I've watched him do it enough times!

I've seen him do it too! Good job Vinny. I need to get there at some point before I head out of state for the summer. Sounds like you guys had fun.

I do agree I do change baits quite often. I have bought so many different lures and baits over my lifetime that makes me feel the need to try to get some of them actually in the water.
