Old Cotton Cordells
Going thru my garage I came across these old Cotton Cordell lures in one of my brothers tackle boxes.... He passed away in 1993, so these are at least 32 years old... I've seen them before, but since I don't bass fish, didn't give them much thought... Probably not worth anything, but I think it's pretty cool they are in their original packaging, even if it's a little beat up..

Re: Old Cotton Cordells
They would still catch fish. Those look great. I looked on ebay, they probably are about $3 to $6 each, but in a lot sale you might not get that.

Thanks.. I'm not really looking to sell.. Just thought some of these old lures might be interesting... Probably see if my Grandson wants them...

Re: Old Cotton Cordells
I remember I had one of the dual prop (front/rear) top water ones when I was young. It worked good in the small rivers up north outside Napa for smallmouth. Pretty awesome and sentimental collection.

Re: Old Cotton Cordells
Any chance he got them at Turners Sporting Goods? I worked there for a couple of years way back in the early 80s and remember cherry picking a bunch of deep running plugs from a huge box of lures during a .39 cent sale. The packaging sure looks familiar. I still have some too, I bought 100 of them. Being an employee we got them at 40% of the listed price to boot. Great for trolling Newport Bay for Spotties and Halibut.

I’m not sure where he got them.. He was even tighter than me, and couldn’t pass up a deal..
