Dusted off the shrimp pumps and fished with a couple new friends Sunday.
It was their first time shore fishing Mission Bay, and we did pretty well through mid-day. We got six or seven YFCs, couple spotties, a small sandy and two round rays.
I stayed through the afternoon and got another croaker and a tiny sand bass on bait. Threw around a homemade swimbait (3.5 inch Do-It Slick Shiner mold) for three spotties and an angel ray...
Second angel ray in as many weeks...

My son and I are the couple of friends in this story. Carpkiller is a wealth of knowledge to rookies like us. This man knows his stuff. Thanks for showing us the ropes and creating some new memories for us.

I had a ton of fun....If I had arrived on time we might have got more shrimp. Later in the day, I found waaaay more of them a little way down the beach. Next time I go, I'll try that area first.
