Don't overthink colors. Bass only have 2 type of cones (most humans have 3, a few have 4) and can only see red thru green (red-orange-yellow-chartreuse-green). Bass have the ability to change their color to match the background, much like a chameleon. So bass caught in the weeds will have the classic green and black largemouth pattern and I have seen fish caught in the open water be light green and almost silvery.

Mend-it works on PVC based plastics (traditional soft plastics), would not expect it to work on Zman since PVC and Zman melt together in a big mess when in contact. Be sure to the bottle upside down when done so it doesn't dry out as fast.

Skin hook is when the barb just goes in as far as the point. Flesh hook is past the barb. Skin hook is definitely better than flesh hook.
