Re: Lake Hodges Re-Opener

Great video and catching! Hodges was my late 80’s, 90’s go-to lake and even though its a fraction of its former self, you brought back memories of the hot morning bites with cranks and blades parallel to the banks, and seemingly a better grade of fish. Oh and just when I too was wondering where the ...

Re: Lake Hodges Re-Opener

Love Hodges. One of the reaction bait lakes in SD as far as I’m concerned. Hundreds of square bill, crankbait, chatter bait and blade fish caught there over the years including my 2 biggest fish 10.3 and a 10.4 caught during a tourney. I hope to find my way there this weekend

Re: Hodges reopner

Sweet! I fished for only 1:30 from the shore at Del dios from about 12-1:30, only got one that could have been 6lbs or so but was disgustingly skinny. What did you get yours on?

I caught both bigger fish on a 7" roboworm texas rig and all the small fish on the senko in the sticks.

That bigger ...

Re: Hodges reopener

IMG_8436.jpg Here are a couple of pictures of the fish I promised to upload from yesterday. After reading the responses of the catches that were made about the sizes of fish caught leads me to the conclusion that the fish are highly concentrated in the water that is left and it does give me a ...

Made the trek up to Hodges today. Currently exploring the shoreline pretty fast to find spots for next week. Not a bad start 😃

Hodges

Got to the lake at 4:40 am and was about 10th in line. I went around all the cars that stopped to go to concession to buy permits and straight to permit machine and had front row parking at the launch. Was on the puddle by 5;45 and kicked across and started throwing my finesse jigs. Got a couple ...

Re: San V Monday chow time...

Breaking off 12 in deep brush and still putting in great numbers with 23 bass! Geez…my highest bass catching outing this year is the same number you broke off. Most people dread Mondays and your really seem to enjoy them catching bass after bass at San V.
Anyway, great job out there @mcfish and I’m ...

Re: San V Monday chow time...

Another 20+ day for you @Mcfish Wow. You are doing great. I was at San V yesterday, never did see you out there. Maybe next week? I noticed the aqueduct was not pouring water in like it has been these past few weeks. Down to a trickle. At least the algae bloom has dissipated.

That is not the first time that has been asked, but no, I am not related. It's a nickname that I got in college. I'll have to do an origin story in an upcoming video. Cheers!
