Doing much better than me. I all I've been getting are 2 pounds or less. Lots of them, but still .

I've caught that red spotted jaw fish before too. Wierd.

So tried something little different today brought my dad on back of kayak so tandem fishing and not sinking was the plan was fun mostly I believe today was learning curve rockpile where I usually go had biting fish early we moved around after a while cruzing showed my dad how a yak w troller is he ...

I hit my home lake today, not sure I've ever fished on the 4th of July...but it was well worth it! I was on the water before sunrise and Fisheromen was already into fish! We headed over to an area we got fish last week and it was on! Before 7:00, I already had 18 fish...and I'm thinking Fisheromen ...

I fished for a few hours early at Otay. Ended up with 11. A mix of small topwater walking baits, and this little bait that I shared in the BFS forum.

I thought that was you in the tackle shop early morning. I was in line with my son behind you. Glad to hear you had a productive day. We got one each on wackies. I was throwing a tiny popper on my dark wolf setup. Only had one strike it but missed. Would have been nice.

Got on the lake just before sunrise. Almost immediately I saw bass start busting across from the dock under the power lines area.

I kicked over and started throwing walking baits. Picked up maybe a dozen between the small Sammy, and Gunfish. Nothing over 2 lbs though, and nothing picture worthy ...

Had a great day at Miramar yesterday. My buddy and I ended up with 30 fish total with a 4 and a 3.15# which we were pretty happy about. We lost 3 more that jumped at least once and were in that weight class. Also had a double hook-up which is always awesome! I can't remember a time when these fish ...

Meant to include that all were caught on soft plastics. Tried maybe 10 other lures (jerk bait, Sammy, jack hammer, whopper plopper, mini-jig to name a few) with no bites other than on a small paddle tail SB tossed into a group of busting fish but it came unbuttoned.

Another after work, quick stop at my favorite Orange County bass hole. Got there and it was super smokey, but the ranger who took my $3 didn't seem concerned so off i went. Picked up a little guy who fell in the dirt...

Thank you Vinny. I am embarrassed by the number of times we have fished this lake with nothing over 3#s. Since last year we have had much better fish and much better fights. Hopefully the days of this being the lake of the clones is over. Always good to see your reports!!

Thank you Vito....I actually pulled up to the spot and got a 2.15, 2.25 then a 3.15 and I thought to myself that staying paid off and planned to leave again. Glad I didn't as the big one came a few casts later.

I told you salmon eggs and Velvita was the ticket! Maybe throw some Super Dupers and Rooster tails next time! You are the Man..(boy)!

Must be something in the water. The panfish I catch there are the hardest fighting panfish I catch from any lake. Almost to much fish for my 1wt rods.
