We got out on the water at 0645. The usual Hodges fog was present and water temp was around 61-62 F. I started along the shoreline and picked up a couple sample size bass ( around a pound or so ). Picked around with the popper and got a couple swirls but again no takers. I had a bait I ...

I got to the lake a little before sunrise, under cloudy, chilly conditions. There's still alot of water coming into the lake from the major creeks still, keeping the water temp kind of frosty feeling! I started the day throwing a small jerkbait and quickly hooked up with a couple size challenged ...

Just for today..... I am going to save you guys from reading me babbling on and on.
So here are a few pics of some fish I caught in (McFish will be shocked again) water depths
around 25-35 feet of water.
Hopefully the warmer weather will spur up more action in closer. Tight lines :-)

Nice day, good report. Were they all on spinnerbaits or did you also have something else work? They seem to be opening a bit early lately. Last Sunday I think it was pretty dark when we all got in.

Get a tube. You'll not regret it. It will pay for itself in recovered tackle!

Got out on Hodges early with a buddy. Water temp was 66F and wind was calm. Not a lot for the report. Went along the shoreline with poppers, dragged the bottom with crankbaits and other assorted things that didn't work out. Got three for the day. One early on the popper, one mid morning ...

I wrote a much more detailed report but it vanished when I tried to add pics. 7.53 lbs on a pointer 65 jerkbait! Sutherland!

I should be use to this weather..the never ending winter! I'll start out by saying "Paul stole my fish"...! I started the day fishing that area, my secret spot, threw the same jerkbait as he did and when it didn't produce right off..I gave up on it! Ok, my mistake, but that fish had my name on it ...

Got out on the lake at first light. Have to say the lake had the feel like something was going to happen. Spoiler alert, good day, but nothing epic. Did talk to someone who pulled a 6 pounder on a 10" senko. Water was 66F, wind calm, skies were alternating between scattered and broken.

Caught several clones and this behemoth at Hodges this morning. My scale sucks but definitely in the 8lb range. I debated on going to Otay today as it's much closer to me. I'm glad I chose to make the drive! It was great to see Pourboy out there too. Good times!
