Re: El Capitan Feb 8 report
Wow great report. I was wondering if you were going to get to Hodges. Even better strategy to hit El Cap and go with your gut feeling even if it did mean further travel time. I spent the day repositioning my new Garmin and the transducer while you seem to have almost mastered your forward facing ...

Re: Midwest Finesse and Ned Rig History
Came across this article by Ned himself that Ned rig users might like: https://www.in-fisherman.com/editorial/history-of-midwest-finesse-fishing-and-the-socalled-ned-rig/375073
I have seen Beetle Spins in stores but never tried them. They do have a resemblance to the Ned rig.
Although the Ned ...

3/16 Hodges not prepared
Got a bit of a late start on Sunday at Lake Hodges . I got the pontoon ready and got on the water by 8:30. I hit the opposite bank and on my second cast throwing a Shad Rap I was rewarded with a 3.4 # largemouth. As i landed her I tried to find my pliers but couldnt I had forgot to bring them. So ...

Re: From Murray to Hodges 8/22 and 8/23
It was a fun day at Hodges and it is truly remarkable what a great group of people and knowledgable anglers they really are. Nice fishing with you Dan for the first time and I believe I may stock up on those skirted neds.

My BFS set ups.
After much research into BFS techniques and equipment I am loving my BFS choices. My reels of choice were chosen partly on budget since I was not sure that I would like this type of fishing. But I do absolutely love this type of fishing on our highly pressured waters. I presently own and would ...

Re: My BFS set ups.
Theres another benefit for BFS fishing also and that is it's easy on the body. I have a bum wrist and I need surgery to fix it. With the reels so smooth and the way I can cast underhand or lobing the bait and it doesnt bother me nearly as much. I still get the distance maybe not as accurate but at ...

Unexpected day in O'side
Thursday I decided to test iout my boat after doing some work to the motor. I wasnt expecting doing much fishing due to the tide was going out and I found they were dredging the mouth of the harbor. Fishing during the dredging I have found is not the ideal time to fish much less that the tide was ...

Re: On A Budget?
I started using BFS and wanted something less expensive to see if I liked it. I went to aliexpress and fell in love with the handling magic l rods I have now a few and the price is less than 50 bucks. I paired them with A Dark Wolf ultra bfs baitcaster and they are around %0 also. Cant be happier ...
