I got to San Vicente early and was very excited to be able to try out my brand new/old motor on my boat. Got her launched without a hitch and was estatic to find hat she got on plane and handled terrific. It seemed like only seconds before i was at the Barona arm. As i was pulling in a few busters ...

Re: Barrett Report September 25th
Great report my friend and that sunrise shot takes my breath away. Thats a big reason we all fish for moments like that we've all experienced. Great season !!!

San V Monday
Went with a friend to help set up my weight balance on my boat and we fished a quick session the same place I ran into the busters on prior trip. Its a wonder that I have stuck with fishing as part of my life as long as I have because of how fickle fishing and lakes can be. We picked up 3 small fish ...

Re: Bass and Crappie Dialed In!
Terrific video my man. I loved seeing you catch the crappie on the old school lure. Is that jig rod new? What kind is it a Kisler? What length?

10/4 Big Bay
Launched out of Pepper Park by 7 am on a nice day. No sooner did I make it out of the marina and i hit fog. The chop was nasty and I couldnt see 20 yards in front of my boat. I got across the bay with no incident but I was nervous since the Navy seemed to be sending everything they had out to sea ...

10/20 High Hopes
Sunday after I was skunked at San Vee the day before I went to the fabled Murray Lake. Hoping there I could get the stink of skunk off by catching some of these dink busters. I got there and launched about 7 and went immediately to the center of lake . I noticed immediately that there were very few ...

Fishing Partner lost
My long time fishing partner had to move for business which leaves an open spot on my small fishing boat. Fish both the lakes and sometimes sd bay. Im retired so I go almost every day. But if someone wants to tag along or share expenses the company would be great. Just pm me.

Re: Lake Hodges Final Report
I too was at the closing of Hodges for the season. I was throwing plastics and crank baits on the exact same bfs rod the Phenix Classic which i just recieved the day before. I paired it with a new Dark wolf which i really like but it didnt tempt the fish from biting my offerings. I didnt throw any ...

Re: 12/13-Bad to Better/SD River
I can surely feel your pain. Many years ago I bought a huge Plano that was compartmentalized with separate slide out boxes. Its as big as a damn tv. And thats pretty much what i called it. I had terminal tackle in top and 4 full boxes , jigs sencos and one for cranks and the last for craws. At ...

Re: Success at Otay!!!
Nice job out there and enjoyed the video as always!
It’s fun to try something a little different, especially when it works. Actually @CorsoEnthusiast the other year told me using hover rigs and I was picking up some bass on that unusual rig also. It’s amazing how many techniques can pop up ...

Re: Hodges
I too was at Hodges but was one of the lucky pissed off people behind Pourboy. Got the last parking spot all the way up by the porta potties and on the water by 7:45. Hodges concession was not ready for the opener I assume. Or someone was sleeping on the job. Got 2 as I came around the point on Del ...

Re: Hodges
To my understanding all anglers must get a fishing permit and the lake is only open to fishing on Wed/Sat/Sun. Back in the day the lake had a boat that would patrol the shoreline and ask to see fishing permits. The boat had a unique sounding engine and you could hear it coming. Of course not that I ...

Re: BFS fish keep getting bigger
I can feel what you are saying about BFS gear and big fish. This last Wed on opening day at hodges i was coming back from the dam and all i had was a evergreen pc5 tied onto my bfs rod so i figured what the hell and started a slow troll along the del dios hwy side of lake. About 5 min into my ride ...
