Barrett RFeport( video) Saturday 7-8
Barrett from Saturday 7-8. Morning bite a little tough for us but once they started busting in the middle of Hauser it was on. Throw into a boil and its cant miss. Better quality fish came mostly shallower. Busters lasted around 2 hours tops.Enjoy the clip I put together. https://youtu.be/7zztgKmuLzE

Re: Address Help
Hi, you can put in 19886 Japatul Lyons Valley Road which will get you to the gate, then you will have to take the dirt road for 3 miles. It's marked as Barrett Reservoir. Google maps has good directions, I also am in Escondido, I take the 15S to the 8E, to 125S/spring st and then to the 94E, I think ...

Re: 2024 Barrett Lake level
Those small lakes are on a private ranch. Sky valley Ranch. I’m close with the owners. Not a place you wanna go sneaking around in. They are their own sheriff. That’s why I post a lot of Barrett pics from the honor camp side because that’s part of their driveway

Re: March 22 Flyover
That is so tempting! Before I’m done I want to hit Baccarac, El Salto, or Guerrero at least once.619bassin wrote: Sun Mar 24, 2024 4:04 pm Yes Bacarrac was fun! Dave got his PB and we're already thinking about next year, anyone interested just pm me and i'll give you the details.

Re: March 22 Flyover
We had a great time at Baccarac and it's true, my best fish was caught on a popper. Love those things. Chuck caught some big fish on the popper, but got the fish of the trip on a crankbait. He only had one of this squarebill, so everytime he'd get hung up, it was kind of stressful to get it back ...

Help save Barrett Lake
A friend that works for California Waterfowl Association sent me this. My apologies in advance because it is a bit long. The point of it all is we need as many people as possible to email San Diego's Mayor about not cutting the funding for Barrett Lake. The focus of the letter is waterfowl but if ...

Re: Help save Barrett Lake
Tons of email will help. When they were getting ready to close the lakes during Covid, we organized CARFA and started an email campaign to keep the lakes open. So many fisherman sent emails to the mayor and city council , they told me to tell the group to stop the emails as they were getting flooded ...

Re: So how's it gonna be this year?( video2023)
So far the numbers look better and most likely from the extra year since the water rose so much. It looks clearer to me as well and the fish caught look healthy. It’s going to be a fantastic year.

Re: Number of Fish Caught and Time
I have had numerous days with 100 plus fish. Those day are reaction baits only. Stay away for plastic baits that presented slowly. Work hard at it and keep casting! Cranks, Jerks, Spinner, topwaters get it done!

Re: Number of Fish Caught and Time
Even though I have not fished Barrett for years, I know that there are many guys who catch and have caught huge numbers of bass.
Reaction baits probably help bring the numbers of bass in like KillinTime mentioned above. Regarding the

Re: Number of Fish Caught and Time
Many people have mentioned that the best time to catch fish at Barrett is from opening to closing.
The first hour of the day, you have a lot of variables in your favor, which makes the catching easier. If fish are busting, you've already located them, which is half the battle.

Re: How's the Pine Creek arm?
Watch for a late reply today. Heading out now and the plan is to fish Pine for some part of the day. I’ve been hitting Hauser mostly as well. Time for something new.
