Got back last week from a fly fishing trip to La Ventana. The dorado fishing was pretty good, but not spectacular. Sardinas were no where to be found, and the fish for the most part followed them. We ended up using ballyhoo, which worked to attract the fish, but not near as well as sardines. Still ...

I’m sure you could ask some staff and kick them $20, they will get you some fresh Carnada (bait)!


That is a thought, but not sure I want to mess with the mess of bait... I'll probably just "Gentleman Fish" (Keep my hands non-stinky ;) )

Thanks for all of the advice guys... Unfortunately, you should have given it to a better fisherman... I SUCK!... Not a bite in 5 mornings of fishing...
