Mission Bay Slack Tide Success!

Post by Pourboy »

Hey all!
I finally made it back out onto Mission Bay Friday for a couple hours. The tide had very little water movement, but I still wanted to get out there. I tried some new baits for me from Hook Savvy Baits and ended up really liking their small swimbaits on the 1/8oz Big Eye Underspin. In 2 hours on the water I ended up getting 6 SBB (mostly legal), 1 mack and a 19" halibut. I did snap off a bigger one as well. I will definitely be using these again. I had to work the baits much slower than usual, but did figure it out. Feel free to check out the video for more info about the day and the baits if you like. Can't wait for next time!
Cheers!

Another great video Chris! And the new baits look great too. What were the range of depths you were catching them in? And closer to the bank or out in the deeper middle?

Hey John! They were mostly on the channel edge in 8-13ft of water. Thank for taking the time to watch. Cheers!
