Been on a fishing hiatus from getting married and having a kid. Move to North County so looking at the Carlsbad Lagoon.

What are the best spots for mud marlins?

Where can you fish in the lagoon? Seems like not all of the shore is allowable for fishing and has access.

I have fished the outer Hedionda Lagoon in years past for other species, and the fishing was much better when it was being dredged.

But...according to this news release, this time around they maybe working on weekends, which will undoubtedly impact access...for now.
