I am a bit disappointed though. It seems my brand new scale is defective! I've had it over a week and the silly thing hasn't gone over 4.1 lbs. I think I'll give it another week or two and if it doesn't straighten up and start posting some double digits...back it goes

Topwater at Murray 8/15
Decent topwater bite early this morning at the Murr. It was overcast for the first hour and they were busting everywhere! I managed 7 early then the sun burned off the fog and everything basically stopped. Caught 4 more out deeper after the sun then moved toward shore.

Nice job out Dannicus! Topwater action….sounds
like you had fun. I will need to start fishing topwater which is always a blast. My buddy Larry was also out there telling me they were busting alol over. And of course I bailed on going over to Murray this morning….dang! Anyway, thanks for posting and tight lines always.
See ya soon

Re: Topwater at Murray 8/15
Was Larry the guy in the White boat? Yeah there for a while they were turning the surface into a playground! Mostly smaller clones like in the pictures, but you know me, I was throwing stuff on my beloved BFS gear so the fights were still fun!
I stuck with topwater most all day, and was still able to pick up a few more casting next to the shore and cover but after that first 7-10 fish flurry it got pretty slow. I'd have probably done better had I switched things up, but topwater is just so much fun.

Yeah...that was Larry in the white boat. He told me they was surface action yesterday when you guys were there and that is whyDannicus wrote: Fri Aug 16, 2024 1:47 am Was Larry the guy in the White boat? I came this morning. I waste a lot of time out in the middle of the lake and watching them jump keeps me there longer even
though most seem to jump always just out of casting reach. Anyway sometimes catching some on topwater is more of an exciting
than switching back to worm or creature bait fishing. Nice job out there as always buddy.
