Late post but had to share. Had a decent day on the water. Found a new spot today thanks to a generous fellow fisherman in line who was nice enough to show me. Ended up with 9 fish for the day. Had 1 on a spinnerbait first thing in the morning and then switched to a shakeyhead for most of the day and caught a small male just before noon on the A-rig. Most fish were just around the 3 pound range and chunky. Only took 1 picture because she was worthy. She went just shy of 6lbs. Best day I had in a while. I honestly think the eclipse played a role that day. Went home to brag to my son because he decided he didn’t want to fish that day. All for me!!
