New motors 2024?

I thought it was mentioned that Barrett got brand new outboards? True or just rumors? If it’s true, anyone know the HP’s and brand? I’m assuming they’re started by a cord string.

It looks like they have about 7 new motors. They are 8hp Yamaha, pull start.

I saw your recent report and congrats on getting to “pre-fish” on the SHARE program! You mentioned in the other thread that 7 of the motors had issues but was able to resolve them. I’m guessing those were not the newer motors but the older ones?

The "new" motors. They were not new out of the box. They said they come from Miramar, lightly used, and I discovered they were not stored properly. They were all fixed and are all good to go now.

FYI........Barrett did not receive any motors form Miramar(Lake).

That is what I was told at the dock. I can only go by what people tell me. Thanks for the correction.
