A couple at my Home Lake

Hit my home lake for a few hours on Saturday morning 8-5-23. Got on the lake at 6:00AM. 1st one on a Popper in shallow water. 2nd one on a drop shot rig in a little deeper water. Then had one break off heading under the boat, even though my drag was pretty loose. 2 more missed hook sets after that. Was off the water by 10:30. I don't know why my pics are sideways.... :(

It has been a tough time for many up at your home lake......heck, It is not even on my thought pattern on Fridays as in previous years I fished almost every Friday when it was open. You caught 2 bass, which is the new limit I believe :-). Nice to see you catching a few and posting. Hope before your home lake closes you will have some great fishing trips with lots of frog bass.

Great to see you got a couple on your home grounds...it's definitely been a tough year so far. I think things are changing though, it's starting to feel more like a normal summer pattern now!

Thanks Vinny! It's definitely been a tough year up here. Things have got to get better. I only got 2 in the boat, but had several other bites and a couple come off near the boat.Hopefully it will pick up soon.

Yes, I notice more action, ie bites, these past two weeks. Water level is coming down too. Hope to see you out there soon.
