Hiya,
I am providing tackle for a group of families fishing at the pier on the 29th.
Gonna set 'em up with medium spinning gear (because that's what I have), reels w 8 lb test, squid strips/random gulp/shrimp for bait. Figure I'll just tie a hook a foot above a sinker (torpedos if I have em), with a goal of sliding through eelgrass rather than hanging up (every five seconds).
Any other ideas/advice?
Thanks,
CK

That has just about always been my go-to pier setup. The ferry landing is tight on shoulder room as well, so soaking will probably be a much more enjoyable time for the group.

If you're not confident with their bite detecting abilities, might wanna tie up dropper loops with circle hooks.
