Hit up Murray at daybreak. I was expecting some busters and top water action. Nothing until about 8:30.
Busters would go crazy for about 5 minutes, then disappear.
Got 3 throwing a Pointer 65 jerkbait into the boils.
Got 3 more on a black dropshot worm in 15’ of water. All clones.

Water temps were 82 and dawn and 84 at 11am when I left.

Never know what to expect as far as action on
top as sometimes they’re on the chew and other times they’re testing your patience. In my last so many trips there: lots of clones and small bass but every once in a while you get a nice one if you’re lucky. Thanks for sharing and tight lines buddy

Nice job. From my experience at Murray, it takes a lot of casts before they gulp your top water. There is so much bait in the water for them.

Fished it Sunday 8/9 morning and pulled a 3.2# Tilapia on a crank bait. I knew there was a few Tilapias out there but never seen anything like this. This fish was a beast I thought it was a Carp originally.
