Have to trailer 2 kayaks tomorrow since I can't borrow my dad's truck.
Am I able to trailer my kayak by the water at the boat dock to dry launch? Or even wet launch if i could?

Can’t speak for Pigs, but at the boat dock…even if you can and I don’t think you can, I wouldn’t tow even a small trailer down that glorified path down to the dock. Guys launch yaks and tubes from down there but I’ve never seen a trailer.

Re: Trailer Launch Wet or Dry
I saw a couple people last year with very small trailers launch at pigs, one had a small jon boat and the other a big kayak. Def got a lot of dirty looks because they took up all the space on pigs trying to turn around and back down while people were walking their kayaks and tubes down the point. They did end up launching with the trailers, but it wasn't easy and definitely felt inconsiderate to everybody else. Don't know if there's a formal rule about trailers but I wouldn't be surprised.

Just curious how Mwv…s trailer/kayak venture worked out?
Also need to ask those in the forum who were recently at the Big B if Google Maps satellite view of the boat dock is current.
Im going to launch my yak next week by the dock and it looks like quite the beach front property now that she’s down 6 feet?
Google Maps usually updates the SD lakes pixels for fire support assessment and more so…. Im guessing it is current.

The current google maps satellite view is not accurate. I was out on Saturday and there are some flats that are exposed and dry now that show being covered with water on the satellite images.Delgado wrote: Mon May 18, 2026 8:12 am Just curious how Mwv…s trailer/kayak venture worked out?
