Got an on time start, long line at the iron ranger and to the water not long after first light. Threw a bunch of different stuff, spinnerbait, cranks, etc but the first one took almost an hour and I was starting to worry...but then, the worm did it.

My Hodges Opener
1st time this back to my go to lake...I do love the pond, but the lake is so much more...
Got an on time start, long line at the iron ranger and to the water not long after first light. Threw a bunch of different stuff, spinnerbait, cranks, etc but the first one took almost an hour and I was starting to worry...but then, the worm did it. Then I was on my way, walked a bit and ended up with one on a spinnerbait... And then a decent one on a weighted texas rigged craw... Then a few more dinks all on soft plastics...and back to the car around noon. Good to be back!
