6:30-9:00ish yielded 6 or so perch. Slower day than previous outings but the perch that were biting were large. Some of them were coming in with noticeably yellow fins, which a quick google search tells me that they were males trying to look attractive to potential mates ahead of the spawning season. They looked pretty silly with a hook coming out of their mouth but good luck to them and their future offspring
Mussels were the bait of the day yet again and was being consistently bitten and/or taken until 8:30, when the bite absolutely died. Lots of really deep hook-sets today, unsure why. I was able to free the hooks but the perch were aggressively swallowing the entire bait or not going for it at all.
