north island 10/15

My father and I caught some pinky size live smelt off of the Ferry Landing pier then headed to North Island for a two and half hour afternoon session. I was practically skunked landing just a cigar size lizard fish that gulped down one of those pinky size smelts at the end of my hook throughout my session; meanwhile my father landed an undersize hali, a black croaker, an a 26+ inch striper! needless to say, he had an outstanding session!!! he still got it at 91 yrs old
