7/30 Tubin again

Post by Dfishin »

Nice they didn't sell boat tickets. Early ready for the top water like last times and nothing. Well I got 1. Water is down another foot from last week. I was wondering if this was going to be a day I don't hit the Barrett goal. I finally found some bitters on DS, jig and split shot rig 15 to 25'. I would catch a few on a bait then nothing, so I started changing baits and techniques and was getting bit on the regular. There was I'm not going to say busters, they were more like rolling on the surface. When they would roll by I could catch a couple, I wasn't going to chase them. Bite slowed down and I didn't want to but I broke out the broom stick to throw IKA's and that worked. I did change colors as one IKA would be to tore up to use. It was another good day, had to work harder for the goal. Biggest 6.1 a 5 and 4.3 with plenty of 3's they are getting fatter.

Yes indeed, fun day yesterday at the Big B. Could not break the 3 lb mark but lost a few that were pretty big. Not too hot(yet)....perfect conditions.
Only a few boats....screw up with Ticketmaster. I am going to recommend that the City look into a different ticketing company(or way). Ticketmaster is a rip off! They r drafting Barrett a million gallons a day soon to change to 4 million when they start drafting Morena to Barrett. A good question arose as to the fact that there r Fla strain lmb in Morena and Northern strain lmb in Barrett? Had some buster fish twords the end of the day on a pin minnow, 8 lb test.....wish it was 4 lb.

I used a road runner with a white curly tail grub on 10lb fluoro. They chewed it up.
What rig were you in I probably saw you?

Definitely looking healthier!! Good job to both you and Tommy 👏

Question…why would they draft from an already low Morena and just leave Barrett be? 🤔

Drinking water......The City is trying to use all of it it has before buying from any of the Water Distributors because it has become so expensive. There is a point though that the water is tested and when levels become almost deadpool it dosen't test drinkable. I have my super tube with a motor under the seat. I ordered it from Europe as it is not sold in the US. Caperlan FLTB 9. I have been using 1/8 bullet weight 4" curly tailed grub on a wide gap hook on 8lb fluor..........deadly.

Nope didn't see you!
I have the FLTB 5 from CAPERLAN. It is on the small side. I do like the bags can be taken off and have the dry bag for it behind the seat. I have been debating on selling it.

There have been Florida bass in Barrett for a long time…definitely not “pure” northern bass only. 100 years is a long time for some fish to find each other in a small lake
