Memorable Memorial Day at Murray

Post by TATomlinson »

My son and I fished Barrett on opening weekend. I never bought into the talk about 100 bass days. Well, I caught 106 and now I am a believer. As you can imagine, I wasn’t expecting much at Murray this morning. I ended up having one of my best days at Murray. It started out slow for me so I switched he’s over to BFS top water. I figured if it was going to be slow, I would fish for the rush of a top water bite. Around 8 I got my first blow up and then it was on. I ended up with 16 bass and a bluegill. All were either fluke or BFS top water a la Dannicus. No giants. In fact, most were quite small. I will take it.

Sounds like a great time. Always fun and exciting to get fish on top water. Thanks for sharing and tight lines. :-)

Thanks, Vinny. I don’t have it dialed in like you but Murray is solid when it’s on. Seems like the summer pattern is finally here.

Between Vinny and Dannicus, they have it so dialed in they should call it VD Lake. Ok…maybe not that, how about DV Lake? 😂

Yeah, DV is way better than VD.
