It's been a while

Post by Nick Arevalo »

It's been a while since I last posted. Lol. I kind of forgot that this forum existed. Here are a few fish from the Santee Lakes recently The bass are beginning to move up shallow. There's lots of small males feeding up near the shoreline. I think I've caught 17 or 18 in the past couple of trips. Missed a lot more, too.

Nick,
Speaking of a while....Have not fished there much...but do you like lake 2 or 5 best?
I just remember catching more bass years ago in those lakes.

Not yet. I haven't seen them up on the bank at all in the morning. Shad have been flicking on the surface of lake 5 since like late January.

Generally, I prefer lake 5 over lake 2. For whatever reason, I have never really done too well on lake 2. It really depends on the season, though. Each lake can be better or worse depending on the time of the year.
