Monday I fished all morning and only managed a couple of little clones buuuut...I was great chatting with @Mcfish on the lake. I believe he said he did about the same as me lol.
Today (Tuesday) was a different story with 11 fish total. Most were clones with the best coming in at 3.45 lbs. The water temperature was a balmy 65 degrees when I got off the lake at 2pm
There are definitely signs that they are moving up toward shallower water, and I suspect a few more warm days will kick off the spawn in earnest. And coming shortly after that.... TOPWATER yesssss.

Talked to McFish yesterday and a couple other guys today and heard of mostly small bass being caught, but glad to see the nice
one you caught. Yes the warmer water definitely will bring more bass in to shallower water and I like the part you said,
"And coming shortly after that.... TOPWATER yesssss." Nice job and see you on the lake.

Re: Da Murr 2/24 and 2/25
I had another fun day there yesterday (2/28) numbers-wise anyway. Caught maybe a dozen fat clones.
A shore angler tied into his PB and asked me if I had a scale, so I kicked over to the bank and showed him how to use it. His bass came in at 3.4 and he was positively giddy about it! I was very happy for him, it's great when you get that feeling.
The highlight of the day came about 30 minutes after the stocking truck pulled in and dumped a bunch of trout shaped bass snacks into the lake. A watched as a big...think 15 lbs big!...bass bust the surface and gulp down a 12 inch rainbow. I've seen this before after stocking, but it never gets old.
