Hodges Week 2

Post by Pourboy »

Hey all,
I headed back to Hodges today for a quick morning sesh before work. I got there at 5:30am just like last week but instead of having 25 cars in front of me when I got there I only had 3 today. I know the slow first week and the rain kept people away. But I gots to know! You may or may not get the reference... Anyway...I got on the lake 40 mins. faster than last week and was off into the rain. I ran across to the peninsula and then around towards Del Dios. Long story short, I got 1 bass on a Ned Rig, lost 1 on a Rapala DT10 Crawdad, and missed 2 jig bites. The fish a 1-1.5lbs and at least I did not get the skunk like LOTS of other have so far. I talked to one other person who caught a bass trolling a small crank parallel to shore in 8-10ft of water. Hopefully the bite picks up soon.

Last week I caught 3, and lost 3. 2 on cranks and 1 on the jig. Here is the pic from today and the link to the video from last week if you're interested. No video from today. See you on the water! Cheers!

Putting the time in.... Low crowds are always good in my book. You keep putting the time in like you do, and the rewards will come =) I know... preaching to the choir.
Thanks for the report and videos.
